Bridgeport State Park on the Columbia River includes a golf course, boat launching, picnicing and camping areas consisting of lawns and parking lots with scattered large conifers and deciduous trees, along with shrub-steppe slopes and riparian growth along a canyon. Mostly cloudy, 48F with a slight breeze. Iwatched and listened from campsite #27 in the state park from shortly before sunset until dusk.

Red-tailed Hawk 1   Flushed, then briefly flew with, one of the Great Horned Owls.
Killdeer 1   Calling
Great Horned Owl 2   Pair roosting in large conifers near campsite. They flew out to exposed perches at 7:50, calling back and forth both regular hooting and a nasal ""errrah"" call.
Northern Saw-whet Owl 2   Calls heard several times from two birds - series of medium-high pitched hoots, two or more per second, on same pitch or ascending slightly. First calls heard at 8:10PM from spruces N of campsite.
