Sagebrush scrub, non-irrigated fields and pastures on the uplands of the Waterville Plateau along the Leahy Cutoff Road (19 Rd NE) about 4 miles SW of the junction of Hwys 17 and 174. Partly cloudy, 37F, light breeze. Sunrise around 6:35AM. With Shep Thorpe, Ruth Sullivan, Cara Borre, Asta Tobiassen, watched Sage Grouse on lek along Leahy cutoff road. Lek was in open field south of Leahy Cutoff road about four miles from hwy 17.
Greater Sage-Grouse 9   I saw 8 males and 1 female. Others saw one more of each.
Northern Harrier 1   Male perched in sagebrush on hummock in lek field.
