Wetland consisting of roughly 80 acres of willow swamp with scattered cottonwood groves along Springbrook Creek, Accessible from SW 34th or SW 27th east of Oaksdale Ave SW. Sunny, 39F, calm, light frost. With David, parked along SW 34th, walked north through wetland and continued north to end of lane N of SW 27th. Distance is one way.

Canada Goose 6   Pairs. One on nest in fenced catch basin near SW 34th.
Gadwall 2   Pair flying over
Mallard 10   Mostly males in stream. In dispute over female, one male dove and came up about 6 feet away 5 seconds later.
Northern Shoveler 3   In marsh north of SW 27th
Green-winged Teal 8   Mostly pairs in stream
Bufflehead 5   In stream, mostly segregated by sex.
