The sprawling agricultural town of Moxee lies along Hwy 24 in the valley extending east from the Yakima River between the Rattlesnake and Ahtanum? ridges. Most of the valley is developed for agriculture - grazing, hay fields, dry and irrigated croplands and orchards - with more small farms than big operations. Ground squirrels are common in the lower part of the valley, attracting a variety of raptors. Partly cloudy, 58F, light W breeze. Drove out and back on Suntargets Road from Hwy 24.
