Area of pastureland, croplands and sagebrush-bunchgrass southwest of Fairchild AFB, south of route 2 about 12 miles west of Spokane, including the Medical Lakes area - small lakes, ponds and marshes, along with residential developments, scattered through open pine forest just north of I-90 near Cheney. Partly cloudy, 61F, S breeze David and I drove 1.1 miles on McFarlane Road west to Coulee Hite/McNeary Rd, then a mile north on McNeary Road, stopping in several areas to look and listen for birds.
Habitats included bunchgrass w/ and w/o sagebrush, cropland, a farm and marshy areas along a small stream.
