Dry Creek drains the dry hills along Hwy 97 southwest of Toppenish. Mostly cloudy, damp, 59F, calm We pulled to the right off hwy 97 before the bridge over the creek and drove down by the stream. Riparian woodland consists of alder, cottonwood, willow, water birch, staghorn sumac and elderberry, among other shrubs, with sagebrush on adjacent dry flats and hillsides.
