2013-06-01 16:40 for 30 minutes (birding) 5 sightings Gingko State Park (WAKTGNKSP) Vantage, WA (USA) Lat,Long: 46.95366,-119.99851 Map Elevation: 800 feet
State Park lands including the lower sections of canyons northwest of Vantage. Habitats include sagebrush w/ rabbitbrush and other desert scrub, bunchgrass, rocky washes and cliff-slopes, brushy riparian areas and a few patches of shade trees around developed areas. Mostly sunny, high 60's, calm ABC Field trip - parked at canyon crossing and walked up gated road/trail on the north side of the canyon.
Called up Black-throated Sparrow.

Black-throated Sparrow 2   Size of Sage Sparrow w/ black throat, dark face w/ white supercilium and malar stripe. Two males counter-singing.
